Rotors, also called rotor sprinkler heads, are gear-driven sprinklers that throw a rotating stream 25 ft or more, covering large open turf with fewer heads than sprays. Set the arc (part- or full-circle) and swap nozzles to dial in radius and flow for the zone.
Rotors apply water slowly and evenly, which suits big lawns and tighter soils. Keep them on their own zones, separate from spray heads, because the two precipitation rates don’t mix. Match every rotor in a zone to the same rate.
