How to Choose a PVC Union
A union is a three-piece joint that unscrews in the middle, so you can disconnect a line for service without cutting the pipe. Schedule 40 Dura PVC, slip × slip, in ½″, ¾″ and 1″.
Solvent-weld the two slip ends into the run, then break the threaded collar at a valve, pump, or manifold whenever you need to service it. Where a permanent in-line joint is fine, a standard coupling is simpler. Available each or in bulk boxes.
