A ball valve is a quarter-turn shutoff for isolating part of an irrigation or plumbing line — full flow when open, positive shutoff when closed. The PVC valves here (Dura is the staple) come in slip, threaded, and union patterns across common pipe sizes for schedule 40 and 80 systems.
Install a ball valve as a zone or mainline isolation point so you can service one section without draining the whole system. For solvent-weld connections, match the socket to your PVC fittings and pipe size.
