How to Choose a Hose Timer

A hose timer threads between your spigot and hose to water on a schedule automatically. Mechanical dial timers run a single duration after you turn them on; digital and Bluetooth or Wi-Fi timers handle multiple start times, days, and durations.

Match the outlet count to the number of zones you want to run independently, and check the timer’s minimum operating pressure — some won’t open at low flow. Combine a timer with a manifold to schedule several hoses from one bib.
