Channel drain or catch basin: which do I need?
A channel (trench) drain runs in a line to catch sheet flow across driveways, patios and pool decks; a catch basin is a box that collects water at a single low spot and ties into a pipe. Many yards use both.
What is a pop-up drainage emitter?
A pop-up emitter sits at the end of a drain line; water pressure lifts the cap to discharge at the surface, then it closes to keep out debris, mulch and pests.
What is EZ-Drain?
EZ-Drain is NDS’s pre-fabricated French drain, perforated pipe wrapped in aggregate and fabric, that replaces gravel-and-pipe trenching to move water away from the foundation.
What size pipe and grate do I need?
Match them to expected flow: small residential runs use 3 in. and 4 in. pipe, while larger catchment uses bigger channels and basins. Local rainfall and slope drive the sizing.
