How to Choose Spray Nozzles

Spray nozzles thread onto a spray head body and set the pattern and radius — fixed-pattern nozzles (quarter, half, full circle and strip), adjustable-arc nozzles, and high-efficiency rotary nozzles that stream water slowly to cut runoff. Pick the arc and radius that fit each zone’s shape.

Match every nozzle in a zone to the same precipitation rate so the area waters evenly. Rotary nozzles apply water slower and suit slopes and tight soils; standard sprays cover small beds quickly.
