Every Hunter and Rain Bird residential controller has a sensor input for a rain shutoff, and many jurisdictions require one on new automatic systems. Most sensors here are normally-closed dry-contact switches that wire to the SEN terminals on any controller, regardless of brand. A Hunter Mini-Clik works on a Rain Bird ESP-TM2; a Rain Bird RSD rain sensor works on a Hunter X-Core. Wireless variants add a transmitter-receiver pair so you can skip the long wire run.
