Rain, freeze, and soil-moisture sensors

Every Hunter and Rain Bird residential controller has a sensor input for a rain shutoff, and many jurisdictions require one on new automatic systems. Most sensors here are normally-closed dry-contact switches that wire to the SEN terminals on any controller, regardless of brand: a Hunter Mini-Clik works on a Rain Bird ESP-TM2; a Rain Bird RSD-Bex works on a Hunter X-Core. Wireless variants add a transmitter-receiver pair to skip the long wire run.
