K-Rain Rotors

K-Rain rotors: gear-driven sprinklers for medium-to-large zones

K-Rain gear-driven rotors are the residential and light-commercial workhorse for medium-to-large turf zones. K-Rain's flagship — the RPS™ 75 — covers a 22–51 ft radius range and a 40°–360° adjustable arc at 20–70 PSI, with twelve standard and low-angle nozzles included in the box. The riser drops into existing Hunter PGP and PGP Ultra in-ground cans, so the RPS75 is the standard retrofit when you're replacing an aging rotor without re-cutting the ground.

Frequently asked questions

Does the K-Rain RPS 75 really fit a Hunter PGP can?

Yes. The RPS75's universal riser assembly drops into both the standard Hunter PGP and the PGP Ultra in-ground cans without any retrofit work. That's why it's the go-to swap when an old Hunter PGP fails — you don't have to dig, you just unscrew the old riser and thread in the new one.

What pressure does the RPS 75 need to run?

The full operating range is 20–70 PSI. K-Rain publishes performance data at 30, 40, 50, and 60 PSI (and 70 PSI for the larger nozzles). 50 PSI is the typical residential reference and what our nozzle chart is anchored to. For systems with high or variable supply pressure, the 6-inch RPS75 is available with a built-in 45 PSI pressure regulator (model option -PR).

What's the difference between the RPS 75 and the RPS 75i?

Both share the same body and the same nozzle set. The RPS 75i adds K-Rain's Intelligent Flow Control: if the riser is damaged or stuck up, IFC shuts the head off automatically to prevent a flood. Useful for commercial installs and high-traffic turf areas (sidewalks, sports fields). The standard RPS 75 is the residential default.

How many nozzles come in the box?

Twelve total: eight standard-angle nozzles (#0.75 through #8.0 with a 26° trajectory) and four low-angle nozzles (LA #1.0 / #3.0 / #4.0 / #6.0 with an 11° trajectory). The #3 standard nozzle is pre-installed from the factory. Five check valve assemblies are also included.
