Choosing an Apollo backflow preventer

Apollo builds bronze and lead-free backflow prevention for irrigation and plumbing. The 4A family here covers the three common assembly types: reduced-pressure (RP4A) for high-hazard protection, double-check (DC4A) for lower-hazard service, and pressure vacuum breakers (PVB4A) for typical residential sprinkler systems.

Choose the assembly your local code requires for the hazard level, then match the size - our Apollo line runs 3/4 in. and 1 in. in lead-free bronze. An RP device needs a relief-port air gap and cannot be buried, and a PVB must sit above the highest sprinkler head.
